The National Youth Service Corps has directed the 2021 Batch B Stream 2 prospective corps members initially posted to Plateau State to reprint their call-up letters, Sunday PUNCH has learnt.
This is coming at a time there is apprehension in the state over renewed attacks and killings.
The directive was contained in a notice posted on the NYSC website.
The NYSC however did not disclose the reason behind the directive.
While corps members posted to other states have resumed in their respective orientation camps on August 31, 2021, the notice indicated that orientation camp for Plateau State would start on September 6.
The notice, titled, “Important Information, 21 B S11,” read, “All 2021 B Sream 2 prospective corps members posted to Plateau State are to log in to their dashboard to reprint their call-up letters.
“Note that your orientation camp starts on the September 6, 2021,” the NYSC said.
When contacted, the NYSC Deputy Director, Press, Emeka Mgbemena, said he was not aware of the development, promising to seek further information.
“I am not aware. I am currently out of town, but I will seek to refresh for further information,” he said.
